Hyatt House Rochester / Mayo Clinic Area

Perfect place to stay.. The amenities are top notch - the pool, hot tub, a bar, shuttle service, morning breakfast, complimentary soup last evening (however, ended up watching college football & didn't make it), nice lobby with plenty of seating. Our room is thoughtfully designed with coat/shoe area at entrance, kitchen/dining area is laid out efficiently and the basics are provided, nice corner sitting area with plenty of comfortable couch-like seating to relax or watch the swivel setup tv (you can watch TV anywhere in the room), bathroom is basic, but shower is very nice and clean, water temp/shower head is perfect. We have two queens with nice bedding. The mattress on my bed isn't perfect however, can feel one side broken down, but not terrible (this would be my only small complaint). It's been quiet, decent/safe location. Staff is nice & helpful, appears they keep the property & rooms clean and perform the required maintenance. So glad we ended up here! Will remember Hyatt House hotels for the future.

Room was ok. A little dirty, blood on the wall, poo on the toilet seat, shower kept getting clogged and they only provided 2 towels per day. Had to ask for towels daily. They only clean the room once every 6 days and will only empty the trash each day if requested. The staff was the best! Food in the morning was always fresh and they even have complimentary soup nights starting at 5:30pm on the weekdays until they run out. This location is very close to the Mayo clinic. Not necessarily walking distance in the snow, but the trolly came every hour on the hour, give or take a few mins. All in all, id go back again but id hope for a cleaner room.

My daughter had a heart transplant at St Mary’s Mayo and we have been staying at Hyatt House since early August. Staying here has made this journey so much more bearable as the staff is just wonderful. Sarah and Beth are so kind and helpful and the housekeeping and kitchen staff are amazing, so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable and so convenient getting to the Mayo Clinic with the free shuttle. I am happy to return to my home in Rochester Ny but I will truly miss everyone here. We will be returning for monthly visits and will definitely be staying right here at the Hyatt. Thank you all so much. We are truly grateful.

We had such a nice stay at this hotel. We typically are up in Rochester for Mayo Clinic appointments. The complementary shuttle to Mayo was so Easy to figure out And made attending the hospital less stressful. Great breakfast very friendly staff very attentive to any question I had. Great price and had clean rooms and bathrooms. We will be staying no where else when We are back in town.

The Hyatt House Rochester was great for its proximity to the Mayo Clinic and eateries. It offered many amenities to offset the expenses associated with travel to the Mayo Clinic like free breakfast, free soup in the evenings, a free shuttle to the Mayo Clinic, and free washing pods and dryer sheets. The front desk staff (Jenny, Angie, Sybil, Scott) and Paul (makes soup & all around guy) made our stay feel like we were around old friends. They went out of their way to accommodate us. We’re from New Orleans and the hospitality reminded us of home. They understand that most folks at the hotel are there for the Mayo Clinic and are dealing with serious medical issues, so they are very nice! We had a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. It was spacious and had all dishes, mugs and utensils needed for an extended stay. We were there 9 days and enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re visiting the Mayo Clinic.

I had a long day of travel and was feeling overwhelmed when I checked in after getting a family member settled at Mayo. Beth was so kind amd understanding. Her kindness made the end of stressful day better. Every staff member I encountered during my stayed showed the same kindness. Great place to stay!

If it were available, I would give the staff and service here a 10 star review. Of all my many travels and hotel stays in my life, I have never encountered a staff as dedicated to making sure each and every guest felt comfortable and welcomed. Everyone from Angie to Maria and Johnny made you feel like family and were most considerate, attentive and caring. To be most honest, the majority of their guests are here to receive healthcare from Mayo Clinic, and the staff is well aware of that fact as they go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Every guest is treated as if they are the only guest, and to receive that type of reception at any hotel is most rare. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet but it is truly the people who work here that make it special.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Everything from check in with Jenny to check out was perfect. I've never felt so at home during a hotel stay. Johnny in the kitchen had absolutely stellar customer service, keeping us all informed of timelines, wanting feedback on his dishes, I can tell he truly cares about what he puts out for guests and as someone who is also in the service industry, this was a breath of fresh air in comparison to almost everywhere else I've stayed where that human connection just really isn't there. I'd also like to give a huge shout-out to Jenny at the front desk. She was so unbelievably kind and compassionate. Seeing her relationships with the other guests who had been staying there throughout their long mayo clinic visits no doubt made their time there just a little easier to know they had a friend. She showed this same time and attention to myself and my corgi Hercules, even though it was a short visit, we received the same exceptional attention. She truly went above and beyond with every interaction. It was truly impressive to see and I can not wait to stay there again.
